Went to Chinatown on National Day. There are tons of shops that sell Singapore memorabilia - great place to shop for Christmas presents!
Look at all those people! Us Americans sure do stand out.
Not only are there tons of shops, but it is cheap! Note how everything is $2 :)
The top of a temple in Chinatown. The cow is a fake but the bird was real.
It is free for tourists to go into the temple...the catch is tourists have to purchase a "ticket" in order to take pictures. I was outside so this picture is okay...I hope :)
Fun fact: A gecko's tale will fall off when you grab the gecko.
Welcome to 2nd grade!
My very first classroom!!
"Information Station" where student mailboxes are and other important information.
My area...no students allowed back there.
Here it is - it will look better once there are students sitting in the desks :)
Today was Open House. Students and their parents came to meet the teacher. It was good to meet some of my students. I have kids from all over the world - Singapore, India, USA, Australia, Holland. Geographically we are very diverse...gender wise, not so much. I have seventeen students; out of those seventeen, I only have four boys. Yikes!! I am excited and nervous for school to begin Tuesday. God is good and I KNOW He will give me the strength and time to get all I need to done.
Ahhhh!! Your classroom looks great! I am sure you will be an awesome teacher. Miss you, home slice!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! :) Can't wait to talk to you again friend!
